VISION CASTING FOR 2026 AND BEYOND
From Sunday, August 23, 2026
Below are the four points of our core DNA & calling as a church and how we aim to get there:
1. A people who are passionate about both the Word and the Spirit
We are deeply committed to being solidly grounded in the Scriptures in all that we do and teach. At the same time, we are called to be a people who are always ‘earnestly desiring’ an increase in the operation, gifts and moving of the Holy Spirit. These callings are not in opposition to each other, but are both essential heart postures for the New Testament church.
Growing towards this calling:
-
Sunday gatherings: biblical preaching & teaching
-
Wednesday evening teachings and studies
-
Guest speakers with unique graces and perspectives
2. A people desperate for greater measures of the Presence of God
Jesus is our supreme treasure and His personal, powerful presence is what we long for! Only more of His presence can bring forth the worship He deserves and the transformation that each of us needs. We echo Moses’ heart cry, “If your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. For how then can it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16
Growing towards this calling:
* Each of us continuing to stretch and grow in our daily walk with Jesus
-
We need every member of this community to be spiritually expectant and hungry for more of God when we gather. We all play an important role in cultivating the spiritual temperature in this house.

3. A people joined together as a living covenant community
Scripture describes God’s view of our relationships to each other in almost shocking language.
“We, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another” (Rom. 12:5)
“You are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit” (Eph.2:22)
“You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood.” (1 Pet. 2:5).
The Lord so designed the Body of Christ that we cannot fulfill our calling and destiny in Him apart from close, living connection with one another. He desires to so infuse us with His love for each other that we joyfully give forth our supply of grace for the benefit of our fellow members and actually “consider one another as more important than ourselves.” This is a miracle that God performed in the hearts of the early church and, clearly, He is eager to do it again in His church today.
Growing towards this calling:
A.) Seek out and prioritize points of connection with other members.
-
Personally attend regular services whenever possible.
-
Points of connection: Married Group, Spanish Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, church picnics, etc.
-
B.) Put in your supply through serving: Kids Ministry, VBS, Info & Hospitality, Jail Ministry (men’s and women’s), hospital visitation, Worship and Media Teams, building maintenance, Security Team, Greeters Team, church cleaning team, etc.
The Kingdom reality is that the first step into the next season of Kingdom fruitfulness often begins with serving where there is a need rather than waiting for an open door that is the fulfillment of our own personal ministry passion. Consider Stephen's actions in Acts 6 & 7. He began by meeting the need at hand - serving tables - and, through that door of humble service, he was promoted into his ultimate calling of evangelist and martyr.
4. A people advancing the Kingdom of God
The command of Jesus to His church is to “make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19), and that we would be “lights in the world, holding forth the word of life” (Phil. 2:15). Both in our local community and around the globe, we are passionate about doing our part to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all have a part to play in the fulfillment of His command!
